Hazel Tansley is a creative producer working across contemporary art, cultural programming, and moving-image projects.

Her work sits at the intersection of artistic production, cross-cultural dialogue, and the design of meaningful public experiences.

She develops and produces projects that span countries and disciplines, bringing together artists, thinkers, and institutions to create encounters that are both conceptually rigorous and publicly engaging. Her practice centres on building environments for exchange, whether through exhibitions, curated gatherings, or collaborative creative frameworks.

Hazel also works as a producer in the film and moving-image sector. She collaborates with directors, writers, and production teams on projects that operate internationally, guiding work from early development through to completion. Her approach blends creative sensitivity with structured oversight, supporting the realisation of ambitious, globally oriented screen projects.

With a background spanning law, the arts, and film, Hazel works from concept through to delivery, shaping projects that balance imaginative vision with attentive execution. Her experience across Europe and Aotearoa New Zealand gives her a nuanced understanding of how cultural narratives move between places, institutions, and audiences.

Formerly a lawyer, Hazel brings strategic clarity, contractual fluency, and a deep respect for artistic process to every collaboration. She has worked with foundations, galleries, production companies, and independent creators, acting as a connective force between creative ambition and practical delivery.

Hazel holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Auckland.
